Project Goal(s)

• Assist Vodafone with migration of big data to google cloud with appropriate retention schedules being put in place.
• Strengthen Vodafone’s Data Governance, Data ethics and Data Management Frameworks
• Represented Audits for Data Governance Frameworks and Data privacy for clients. 
• Help Vodafoine conduct numerous data privacy assessment tools
• Help Vodafone implement an Assurnade function into the operating model for clients.

Contributions

• Successfully migrated data from Big Data (Hadoop) to Google Cloud and established a comprehensive Data Retention Framework for multiple jurisdictions. Ensured compliance with data governance, privacy, cloud security, data management, risk, and compliance requirements throughout the migration process. 
• Designed and developed a robust Data Governance Control Framework that included controls for data model, data interoperability, Common Information Model, Metadata catalogue design and implementation (Collibra DG centre), and more. Also created and executed a Data Management Plan to streamline data management processes. 
• Developed a comprehensive Data Management Framework aligned with DMBOK V2 to streamline and standardise data management processes. Also designed and implemented a Data Ethics Framework to assess and score new use cases, ensuring ethical data use. 
• Successfully represented audits on Data Governance and Data Privacy for clients, providing gap analysis reports and risk logs to identify non-compliance issues and recommend solutions. 
• Created several assessment tools to help clients with Vendor Risk Assessment, Data Governance Audit Assessment, Data Protection Impact Assessment, Privacy Compliance Assessment, Security Impact Assessment, and Data Transfer Impact Assessment. Utilised the same tools to generate assessments for clients. 
• Successfully implemented an Assurance function into the operating model for clients, providing Design Assurance, Data Management Assurance, Data Governance Assurance, and Data Privacy Assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Outcomes

The Contributions above were all successfully implemented. We are still in contract with Vodafone and continue to fulfil their business objectives in  regards to privacy.
