Project Goals

Our contract with Burberry involved ensuring technical architecture and delivery of their retention system and international compliance with Chinese data law. 

  • As a global company, Burberry processed data in China but was unfamiliar with the Chinese data protection laws and regulations to comply. 
  • Burberry also had no retention system in place for all the data they processed, so it was our role to ensure appropriate technical architecture and delivery of their retention system.

 

Contributions

We successfully delivered the following:

  • Successfully managed and collaborated with an external Chinese legal team to ensure Burberry’s compliance with PIPL regulations in China, demonstrating effective cross-cultural communication and regulatory compliance skills.
  • Led the project management and technical design for data retention from scratch, ensuring the implementation of effective data retention policies and procedures that meet regulatory standards.
