Warwick Re focuses on the life insurance, annuity, and pension sectors. A notable recent transaction involved a strategic deal with Just Group plc, a UK-based bulk purchase annuity (BPA) insurer. In addition to reinsurance services, Warwick Re offers asset management capabilities to support insurers’ originations and delivers innovative, collateralized structures tailored to the evolving needs of the UK BPA market.

Project Goal(s)
The primary objective of this project was to ensure Warwick Re’s compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), enabling the company to effectively serve clients in the US, EU and UK.
Contributions
Our contributions to the project included conducting a comprehensive GDPR audit, identifying compliance gaps, and implementing the necessary policies, procedures, and documentation to address them. Additionally, we provided guidance, training, and templates to support ongoing compliance efforts. A structured plan and tracking system were also created using Excel to monitor progress and facilitate future improvements.

Outcomes
Through a structured audit and implementation process, Warwick Re successfully achieved full GDPR compliance. Our approach included identifying gaps, implementing the required policies and procedures, documenting data transfers, providing necessary templates, training staff, and offering expert guidance. We also assisted with reviewing client contracts to ensure robust data protection clauses were in place.
A GDPR compliance tracker was developed to continuously monitor Warwick Re’s data protection status, helping the company stay aligned with regulatory requirements, track outstanding tasks, and schedule future policy reviews to maintain compliance.
